2004 - Habilitation in mathematical sciences, Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science

1991 - Ph.D. in mathematical sciences, Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics

Research interests:

  • dynamical systems (particularly chaos, entropy, and fractals) 
  • application of mathematics in such research fields as quantum physics, population biology and social decisionmaking theories (including electoral systems)
  • workforce planning in health care
